Another lovely and sweet film. Its animated scenes does not in the least detract from the story. Its a very great Christmasy story but is a brilliant one to watch any time of the year. There is one song within it that brought tears to Micks eyes (which was sweet :D ) and the whole story is extremely sweet and lovely.

I rate this 10/10

Anyone else seen this film?

I loved that movie!! That one song - what was it called again? The one that went I wish upon a star, trying to believe that even though it's far, he'll find me Christmas Eve... That was just so nice! It made me feel all shivery. It was a great movie even though I saw it a few months after Christmas.

ive noticed that as well. I had a little tear when the song on the train was played and my boyfriend simply sat there with a dumb expression on his face, though I could feel him trying to hold in tears lol.

PostSubject: Re: The Polar Express   Sun Jan 21 2007, 15:21

Would young children be able to read the book? If not then I can't see how the film is a kids movie. How do you interpret the difference between and childrens movie and an adult movie? If you are only into watching movies with gore and fighting and those above the 18+ rating then I don't understand why you would watch animated movies.

Some quotes on the film:

Quote :
The Polar Express is a film that takes us back to the years before innocence was consumed by the fires of maturity. There is something for all ages. A few things were with broad meanings which the experiential maturity of a child would not likely understand but yet finely engineered from a child's perspective.

So you see, the polar express is not purely for children

Man I have a feeling I'm about to get yelled at... oh well xD

I absolutely hated the movie *ducks* I couldn't sit through it, really it bored me. It wasn't that it was animated or a 'kids' movie if you wanna look at it that way, it's just it couldn't capture my interest or keep it when it did.
