i always thought the smell had something to do with ron, but if she smelled honeysuckle, why do you think she cut off before she said it? Honeysuckle isn't really an embaressing thing to like the smell of. but i think it has something to do with Ron or the Burrow.... its quite obvious, actually.

my theory is that the hunysuckle reminded her of Ron...or connects to Ron in some way. Since the only thing that Harry thought of when he smelled Ginny's sent was 'burrow'...my thoughts anyways

how is huonysuckle related to Ron i just think she smelt Ron and thats it nothing more to it mabey she just likes the smell of the other thing.

it's like a missing moments thing...like, maybe she and Ron were having a moonlit chat or something ya know? hhmmmmm *contemplates fic idea*

I think that she smelled Ron in that potion - there would have been no need for her to cut off talking otherwise.

Now - another question regarding Ron and Hermione's relationship:

Are they already together? The books are from Harry's PoV, and so we don't always get to see everything that goes on in the other characters lives. Ron and Hermione seemed pretty close at DD's funeral, so does anyone think that they are already together?

Or are they just getting there and their relationship will begin in book 7?

you people may not be in the wrong place but i think i am Hermione sent of honysuckle reminds me of her and harry's hogesmead weekend you know the one he snuck out to go. I think it connect to harry and harry is perfect for hermione and vise versa NOT GINNY. sorry to people who dissagree

Hermione most likely smelled something from the Burrow that Ron would recognize on the spot.
I imagine that a 'Ron' scent would be more of a 'guy' smell, more stinky than sweet.

Maybe Honeysuckle reminded her of the Weasley's garden? And then she was about to say something like, I don't know, something she smelt during her Hogsmeade visit with Ron (the one where it looked like she'd had the most fun in her whole life)

Im not even sure that there is anything in this theory (no offense lol). Personally, smells can be similar and can remind you of all different things - i mean, that smell couldnt only be associated with the burrow and ron could it?

Maybe it was a smell she smells when she is in the borrow and doesn't want Ron to put two and two together, or maybe it's a smell she knows when she is around Harry?

Oooh!! I didn't notice that! I did notice Harry, and Ginny's perfume but thats a really good point. I am a believer in the Hermione=Ron romance so this makes sense!

i think that hermine and ron will get together after reading the books and watching the movies. you can see that her and ron are getting closer and closer as the sereis progress and i wouldnt be surprised if this happened

Here's my theory.

If you have noticed, everyone's hair has a different smell, so I would guess Hermione smelt Ron's hair scent in the potion.

That's what I think.
